Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our mobile detailing services

About Our Service

What is mobile car detailing?
Mobile car detailing means we bring the full detailing experience directly to you — no need to drop your car off or wait around at a shop. Our trained technicians arrive at your home, office, or any location of your choice with a fully equipped van carrying professional-grade equipment, products, and everything needed to restore your vehicle to showroom condition. It’s the same quality as an in-shop detail, delivered with the convenience of not moving an inch.
What areas do you serve?
We provide nationwide mobile detailing service across the United States. Our network of certified technicians covers major metro areas including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Denver, and hundreds of surrounding communities. Enter your zip code when booking to confirm availability in your specific area. We’re continuously expanding — if your city isn’t listed yet, contact us and we’ll do our best to schedule service for you.
How long does a detail take?
Service duration depends on the package you choose and the current condition of your vehicle:

  • Basic exterior wash & shine: approximately 1–1.5 hours
  • Interior or exterior detail: approximately 2–3 hours
  • Combined interior + exterior detail: approximately 3–4 hours
  • Full detail with paint decontamination: approximately 4–6 hours
  • Paint correction or ceramic coating: may span a full day or multiple visits

Our technician will give you an estimated completion time when they arrive after assessing the vehicle’s condition.

Do you bring your own water and supplies?
Yes — our vans are completely self-contained and fully equipped. We carry our own fresh water supply, a portable pressure washer, wet/dry vacuum, steam cleaners, and all professional-grade detailing chemicals and microfiber tools. You don’t need to provide anything — just give us access to your vehicle. If you’re at home and would like to offer access to a standard outdoor electrical outlet, that can be helpful for extended services, but it is not required.

What’s the difference between a car wash and a detail?
A car wash is a surface-level cleaning — it removes loose dirt from the exterior and gives your car a quick rinse. It takes 10–20 minutes and makes your car look cleaner, but doesn’t address embedded contaminants, interior grime, or paint protection.

A car detail is a comprehensive, deep-cleaning and restoration service. It includes thorough interior vacuuming and steam cleaning, leather conditioning, paint decontamination (clay bar), polishing, wax or sealant protection, and attention to every nook and cranny. Detailing protects your vehicle’s finish and preserves its long-term value — it’s an investment, not just a clean.

Is paint correction included in a standard detail?
No — paint correction is a specialty, add-on service and is not part of a standard detail package. Paint correction uses machine polishing to physically remove or diminish swirl marks, light scratches, water spots, and oxidation from your vehicle’s clear coat. The result is a dramatically improved gloss and depth of color. Because it requires specialized equipment and skill — and significantly more time — it is priced and booked separately. If your car has noticeable paint imperfections, our technician can assess the level of correction needed when they arrive.
Do you offer ceramic coating?
Yes! We offer professional-grade ceramic coating — one of the best long-term paint protection solutions available. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to your vehicle’s paint, creating a hard, hydrophobic layer that repels water, dirt, UV rays, and chemical contaminants. Benefits include:

  • Long-lasting protection (2–5+ years depending on the product tier)
  • Dramatically easier maintenance washes
  • Enhanced gloss and depth of color
  • Backed by a product warranty

Ceramic coating requires paint decontamination and typically a paint correction beforehand to achieve the best results. Contact us to discuss the right package for your vehicle.

Preparation & Results

How should I prepare my car for detailing?
Preparation is minimal — that’s part of the convenience of mobile detailing. Here’s all we ask:

  • Remove personal items from the interior — bags, loose items from seats, floor mats, and the trunk. This lets our technicians do a thorough job and protects your belongings.
  • Ensure vehicle access — make sure the car is parked in a spot where we can work around it and open all doors freely.
  • Open-air or well-ventilated area — for safety and ventilation, we need to work outside or in a well-ventilated space.

That’s it — we handle the rest.

What if I’m not happy with the results?
We stand behind our work with a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied with the results, contact us within 24 hours of your service and we will return to re-do any area you’re unhappy with — at no additional charge. Our goal is to earn your trust and repeat business, not just a one-time transaction. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we won’t consider a job done until you’re happy with it.
How often should I get my car detailed?
For most drivers, we recommend the following maintenance schedule:

  • Every 3–4 months — ideal for maintaining appearance, protecting the paint, and keeping the interior fresh. Great for daily drivers, especially those exposed to sun, road salt, or heavy use.
  • Every 6 months — a solid schedule for vehicles with moderate use that are garage-kept or in mild climates.
  • Once per year minimum — even low-use vehicles benefit from an annual detail to remove built-up contaminants, address oxidation, and preserve resale value.

If your vehicle has a ceramic coating, we recommend a maintenance wash every 1–2 months to maximize the coating’s longevity and performance.

Will detailing remove scratches?
It depends on the type and depth of the scratch. A standard detail will not remove scratches — it cleans, protects, and restores shine, but does not alter the paint surface itself.

Paint correction, however, can remove or significantly reduce:

  • Swirl marks and micro-scratches (very common from automatic car washes)
  • Light surface scratches that haven’t penetrated through the clear coat
  • Water spots and minor oxidation

Deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat or into the base coat/primer typically require touch-up paint or bodywork. Our technicians can assess your vehicle and recommend the right course of action.

Is the detailing process safe for my car’s paint?
Absolutely. We use only professional-grade, pH-balanced detailing products that are specifically formulated to be safe on all factory paint, clear coats, and automotive surfaces. Our technicians are trained and certified in proper detailing technique — including safe machine polishing, correct microfiber use, and chemical application protocols — so there is no risk of paint damage when the work is done correctly. We take the same care with your vehicle as we would with our own.
